Miniature Railway Workshop
A full on starter kit.
The perfect gift for your garden.

A complete starter set to create your own miniature railway with a ready to lay loop of 5 Gauge 4.5M / 14'9" portable track complete with two standard straight sections, alongside an AME Neptune locomotive and driving truck.
Our ( S ) radius curve is a very tight radius curve and is designed for temporary use in back gardens and confined areas where space is at a premium. These panels allow you to build a railway in almost any confined space with ease. We would not recommend these curves for regular commercial/public railways as there is an increased risk of derailments with this tight radius - use in these environments is purely at the operator's discretion. They are however ideal for a back garden setup or even for use inside with family and friends.
Our 7 1/4" inch gauge portable points are tried, tested and trusted by hobbyists and commercial operators alike, so if you are looking for an entire railway ready to run, this is an excellent starter package to opt for with option of expansion at a later date. For more information on points

New Product Announcement!!
7 1/4" Gauge (C) Radius Britannia Semi-Permanent Track Panels.
Available both with and without sleepers, 7 1/4" gauge MRW Britannia track offers excellent value for money per metre of railway. 7 1/4" gauge Britannia track features a rigid welded frame design, sleeper supported fishplates and thicker steel chairs compared to our Jubilee range. These benefits make it an excellent product for long term garden, estate and small club 7 1/4" railways.
Curves come as ready to lay panels, meaning no rolling tools are needed and simple to understand sections can be used to plan out full railways with ease. The (C) radius curve has a radius of 14.7M (48'-2"), with 12 curves required to make a 90 degree turn and 24 to make a U-turn. The panels can be purchased without sleepers, 60x20mm as standard and 60x30mm for those looking to run small steam locos.

We're delighted to release our Bar Rail Combi Fishplates for general sale! This design is a first for the hobby and has been developed specifically to counter joint dip for a more stable and reliable railway. Currently for 20 x 10mm bar stock, we will aim to release dual gauge versions in due course.
The MRW Bar Rail Combi Fishplate is the solution to non-standardised and dipped joints with bar rail fishplates. Ensuring a smooth joint between track panels is essential for all miniature railways. The Combi Fishplate combines multiple design traits to give a fishplate that is supportive of the rail and if used can give significant benefit over standard flat bar fish plate designs. As the hole spacing is standardised on the fishplates, this means track panels can easily be swapped and moved.
MRW Combi Fishplates combine the traditional profile rail fishplate form with an integral chair, which acts not only to counter dip in the vertical direction, but also accommodates a 60mm sleeper to be positioned directly below the rail joint. When ballasted correctly, this shores up the joint in a way that truly ties one rail to the next and counters the rocking effect that can occur when using standard profile rail fishplates on flat bar stock.

Portable Jubilee track
1.5Mtr lengths
The Jubilee Portable Track is a range of miniature portable railway track designed to be regularly laid and taken up. It is not the intention of the design to make a scale model of standard or narrow gauge track, but to make a reliable safe track that balances the constraints of scale against safety and to produce a design that is fit for purpose. Upon receiving the track you will simply need to fit the rail joiner and/or point lever, after that the track is quite easy to assemble and disassemble. For more details please refer to the ‘Operating Instructions for laying Jubilee Track’ the full version can be found on MRW website. Jubilee Track, laid in minutes giving hours of fun.

5" & 7.1/4"gauge Dual Track

The loading ramp is designed to be used to move locos and rolling stock on and off permanent tracks and onto the Jubilee track sections. The ramp is made so that the wheels of the train can be rolled up the wedge shape and onto the box steel. The loading ramp then joins directly to standard Jubilee portable track sections.

A product we have been asked for numerous times is a method of coupling standard gauge hook and buffers to narrow gauge style slot and pin couplings. This is a challenge faced at many clubs who run with multiple coupling types. To overcome this, we have designed a coupling plate that slots into the coupling block and allows the chain of a standard gauge loco to be threaded through the front slot.
No Pins or chain are supplied with this adapter.
Please note that we aim to dispatch these items the next day. If purchased with a long lead time, we will hold this item and dispatch it as one order- unless otherwise agreed.
This listing is for a single coupling adaptor. If the item is out of stock or you wish to place a large order please contact us.

These points are 50 foot radius to match our (A) radius curves for use with both standard gauge and narrow gauge loco's/rolling stock. The two halves of the points weigh 15kg and 17kg respectively making them an easy 1 person lift. Fitting the tie bar you can be sure that the panels stay locked together during use.
